(Mt. Juliet, TN) -- A pesticide that's extremely toxic to birds is being blamed for the deaths of 20 ducks in Mt. Juliet.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency started investigating last month when the ducks mysteriously died after suffering seizure-like symptoms. On Wednesday, officials said the ducks were poisoned after eating corn containing carbofuran, which was banned for human consumption in the U.S. in 2009. It's not known if the ducks were deliberately poisoned.
