NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Renovations have begun at a landmark location in Nashville that's home to one of the city's most well-known recording companies.
The Tennessean reports the new owner of the Acuff-Rose building has begun extensive interior and exterior work on the building.
Nashville-based Legacy Instruction Media purchased the structure last year and CEO Gabriel Smith says the alterations will add modern touches but keep the historic character.
Acuff-Rose was founded in 1942 by Roy Acuff and Fred Rose and produced several classic county songs such as ``Oh Pretty Woman,'' ``Your Cheatin' Heart'' and ``Tennessee Waltz.''
Legacy Instruction Media makes and distributes instructional videos.
